"There is always a miracle waiting to be born from all circumstances!" - Kari
Salem! Here is my first post from Egypt. I am typing on my iPhone which is slow! Thomas, our tour guide, Told us that 2 nights ago the copper wire for the landline was stolen for money. So they will be without Internet For possibly 2 weeks! I am having fun typing slowly!
This is my first day in egypt after a 16 hour flight. Slept most Of today as the plane zipped us from ecuador, south america to the middle east. Very exhausting but very worth it! I awoke about sunset and had falafel and a sort of musaka on the rooftop of our flat. The rooftop view overlooks the Pyramids! yes! The pyramids! As the sun went down past the pyramids the evening prayers began over load speakers. The cacophony of sounds and smells include camel, horses, chickens, and dogs. I have not left the rooftop for hours now ad I can't stop staring at these mysterious pyramids I want to soak them into my eye memory!
The pyramids are also known as a tourist attraction for the evening light show. We are fortunate as we can see the light show from here. The narration is done by Anthony Hopkins over load speaker. The light show is enjoyable and funny at the same time. A combination of ancient and modernization coexists everywhere. I Really just have to laugh. Tomorrow I will practice yoga for 2-3 hours on this panoramic rooftop. Then we ride camels to the Pyramids, just like the old egyptian magi! I can't wait.
Till next time! Over and out.
